Finding conventional window treatments challenging to fit the historic architecture of their newly purchased refurbished 1892 home, a family enlisted our help. It’s a gorgeous home with many original accents remaining, but the family struggled to find window treatment solutions that let in enough light, provided adequate privacy, and complemented the existing architecture they loved. So, we explored our Hunter Douglas offerings together. Knowing that Hunter Douglas shutters offer the most in privacy and durability, we were able to find options that complemented 19th-century architecture and fit the family budget. To add depth and even more light control options, we accented the design with Hunter Douglas shades and we motorized all treatments covering windows and doors for added, effortless convenience.  The family is thrilled to have the privacy level they want, lots of light, and window treatments that bring out the best features of their historic home.
