After graduating with a degree in Political Science and History from Western Maryland College, Steve Richmond, believed his future would be spent as an attorney. Once he entered University of Baltimore Law School during the fall of 1981, he realized it was not his calling. At that time, he chose to leave law school behind and work with his ailing grandfather in his family business.
Five years later, he and his grandfather opened their own business on York Road. Through many evolutions in the business, it’s been his passion ever since. Steve enjoys the daily interaction with the design staff, seamstresses and installation team. He feels that each day brings the opportunity to meet new people and he finds great pride in knowing that his team is dedicated to serving the clients needs.
His greatest joy in life is being a father to four children and grandfather to four – soon to be five – grandchildren. He looks forward to spending as much time as possible with them here at home and away at the beach.
Lynne Richmond, wife of Stephen Richmond, supported the business from the sidelines for many years while together raising their children and providing childcare at the local synagogue before joining the team in 2015. Today, she enjoys her many hands on roles within the business from ensuring fabrics and trims are received properly and assisting the design staff and office. Lynne plays an integral role in helping the business behind the scenes.
Lynne finds joy in spending time with her adult children as well as all of her grandchildren near and far.
