This lovely country family room in Ruxton was the canvas for an update after the wall was opened up from the newly renovated kitchen. The background palette became a neutral while still keeping the clients favorite color blue and adding pops of bright green. A new Wesley Hall sofa was added and existing settee and chairs were reupholstered. The fireplace brick was white washed and the window frames were all enlarged. Custom relaxed roman shades (Fabricated in our custom workroom) in a Nina Campbell fabric were mounted above the newly framed windows with a blackout lining to expand the windows and create height while maintaining the natural light. The neutral background creates a soothing new environment while carefully selected accent fabrics on the two ottomans and pillows set the design tone. Existing tables were incorporated which took on a fresh look with updated artwork and accessories. Visit Kathy Fine to talk about how you can transform an existing space in your home.
